By creating an account, downloading the Comeback application, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

02 Important Disclaimer — Comeback is Not a Substitute for Professional Care

Please read this carefully. Comeback is an educational and self-help coaching tool. It is not a medical device, mental-health treatment, psychotherapy, counselling, or crisis service. The Service does not establish a therapist-client, doctor-patient, or any professional clinical relationship. The information and suggestions generated by the AI are for general informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.

If you are experiencing a mental-health emergency, having thoughts of harming yourself or others, or are in immediate danger, do not use the Service. Contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline:

03 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and able to enter into a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that you are not barred from receiving the Service under applicable law.

04 Your Account

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree to notify us promptly at support@virea-apps.com if you suspect any unauthorised access or use of your account.
  • One account per individual. You may not transfer, sell, or share your account.

05 The Service

Comeback provides AI-generated coaching, communication frameworks, and educational content focused on relationships, conflict resolution, and personal growth. The Service may evolve over time. We reserve the right to modify, add, suspend, or remove features, content, or functionality at our discretion, with reasonable notice where the change materially affects your use.

The Service is provided as a digital subscription. Some features may be free; others may require a paid subscription as described in Section 7.

06 AI Limitations

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • The Service uses artificial intelligence, including large language models, to generate responses. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or otherwise unsuitable for your specific situation.
  • AI-generated content does not represent the views of Virea Apps Ltd, our partners, or any qualified clinician.
  • You are solely responsible for evaluating AI output and for any decisions or actions you take based on it.
  • The Service is not designed for use in connection with diagnosing, treating, or preventing any medical condition, nor for making legally significant decisions about another person.
  • You must not present AI output as professional advice to others, nor use it to manipulate, deceive, coerce, harass, or harm anyone.

07 Subscriptions & Billing

Paid features are offered as auto-renewing subscriptions billed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another payment processor we make available. Pricing, billing cycle, and trial terms are displayed at the point of purchase.

  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • Free trials. If a free trial is offered, you must cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged. Trials are generally available once per user.
  • Price changes. We may change subscription prices. We will give you reasonable advance notice and the right to cancel before the new price takes effect.
  • Taxes. Prices may be exclusive of applicable VAT, sales tax, or similar taxes, which will be added at checkout.
  • Managing your subscription. You can manage or cancel your subscription in the settings of the app store you used to purchase it.

08 Cancellations & Refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then.

UK and EU consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal within 14 days of purchase. By starting to use the Service immediately after subscribing, you expressly request that we begin performance during the withdrawal period and you acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully supplied. Where lawful and reasonable, we will provide a pro-rata refund on request.

Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are governed by their respective refund policies, and you should request such refunds directly from the relevant store. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

09 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or the rights of others;
  • Submit content that is unlawful, threatening, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or designed to exploit minors;
  • Use the Service to plan, encourage, or facilitate self-harm, harm to others, stalking, or abuse;
  • Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or train other AI models on the Service's outputs or underlying systems;
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach any security or authentication measures;
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service without our prior written consent;
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our authorisation;
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
  • Interfere with the Service's normal operation or with other users' enjoyment of it.

10 Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service ("User Content"), including the messages, prompts, and context you share with the AI. You grant Virea Apps Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, process, display, and use User Content solely as necessary to provide, secure, and improve the Service, and to comply with law. This licence ends when you delete the relevant User Content, except for backups retained for the limited periods described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent and warrant that you have the rights necessary to submit User Content and that doing so does not violate the rights of any third party.

11 Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, content, branding, and underlying technology, is owned by Virea Apps Ltd or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. "Comeback" and the Comeback logo are trademarks of Virea Apps Ltd.

12 Third-Party Services

The Service may include or link to third-party content or services (e.g. authentication providers, payment processors, app stores). We are not responsible for third-party content or services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

If you accessed the Service through the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Virea Apps Ltd, not Apple Inc., and that Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with the right to enforce them. The same applies, where relevant, to Google Play.

13 Suspension & Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, with or without notice, if:

  • You materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that causes harm to us, our users, or third parties;
  • We are required to do so by law or by a competent authority;
  • The Service is discontinued in your region.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, and 18 — will survive.

14 Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or quiet enjoyment. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that AI output will be accurate or appropriate for your circumstances.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranties or rights that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws applicable to you, including statutory rights of consumers in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area.

15 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Virea Apps Ltd, its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
  • Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) GBP £100.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

16 Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Virea Apps Ltd, its affiliates, and their respective officers, employees, and agents, from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your User Content, (c) your misuse of the Service, or (d) your violation of applicable law or the rights of any third party.

17 Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice via email or in-app notice. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

18 Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Subject to your mandatory consumer rights, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising under these Terms. If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence and rely on mandatory provisions of the law of that country.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
